Position Overview:
Avolta is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Training and Development Student Intern to join our team as part of a co-op program. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about training and development and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. As an intern, you will work closely with our training and development team to support the design and delivery of training programs. Please note that this is a pro bono opportunity, ideal for students seeking to gain valuable experience and co-op credit while contributing to impactful work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and developing training programs for employees and clients.
- Collaborate with team members to create training materials, including presentations, manuals, and e-learning modules.
- Participate in the delivery of training sessions and workshops.
- Contribute to the documentation and presentation of training and development findings and results.
- Support the team in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to share ideas and insights.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all tasks and interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of training and development principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of responsibility, maturity, and a willingness to learn.
- Must be eligible to receive co-op credit through your academic institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and training tools (e.g., LMS systems).
- Interest in the technology, security, or automotive industries.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
