High-resolution cameras, sensors, and radars. The automotive industry has come a long way since Carl Benz applied for a patent on January 29th, 1886. We’ve developed airbags to protect passengers, and collision detection systems to protect pedestrians and other drivers. However at the core of all this, is a need for standards, in components and the systems that are made up of said components. Safety features have to reach a 0% error rate to be considered viable, and this couldn’t be more important as we are inching closer and closer to truly autonomous driving. We here in Avolta will be keeping an eye on the standards and will be moving to exceed them.
