Boston Dynamics, the company behind the quadrupedal robot that took the internet by storm 12 years ago, has been purchased by Hyundai. It seems that Hyundai is looking to dip into other areas outside of simply automobiles. While there are plenty of applications in the automotive industry that Boston Dynamic’s technology could be used for, like self-driving cars similar to the self-driving buses seen at this year’s summer Olympics, Hyundai is looking to develop robotic services for personal and commercial use in healthcare and industry.
