Position Overview
Avolta is seeking an accomplished and visionary Machine Learning Advisor, with a strong emphasis on computer vision. This is a pro bono, advisory role designed for a seasoned professional who is passionate about shaping the future of security, particularly in automotive applications such as anti-theft systems.
As a Machine Learning Advisor, your contributions will be advisory, consultative, and non-operational. You will provide high-level strategic guidance, share expertise, and help influence the direction of Avolta’s machine learning initiatives. This is not an employment relationship and does not involve performing employee-type duties; instead, it is a thought-leadership role that complements Avolta’s existing team.
Key Advisory Contributions
- 
Provide strategic advice on the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models, with a focus on computer vision applications for security systems, including automotive anti-theft solutions. 
- 
Collaborate with Avolta’s leadership and technical teams to review and refine machine learning strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and goals. 
- 
Share insights on the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and security technologies. 
- 
Participate in high-level discussions and brainstorming sessions to identify innovative solutions and growth opportunities. 
- 
Offer mentorship and guidance to technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 
- 
Assist in evaluating the reliability, scalability, and security of ML systems from a strategic perspective. 
- 
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner. 
- 
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty in all advisory activities. 
Required Qualifications
- 
Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a strong focus on computer vision. 
- 
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. 
- 
Strong understanding of computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV). 
- 
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide high-level guidance. 
- 
High level of maturity, responsibility, and commitment to Avolta’s mission. 
- 
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a leadership or advisory capacity. 
Preferred Qualifications
- 
Experience in automotive security, anti-theft technologies, or related fields. 
- 
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
- 
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices. 
- 
Experience with edge computing and deploying ML models on embedded systems.

Advisors are not integrated as employees and do not perform employee-type duties.

Their contributions are advisory and non-executory, comparable to board or governance functions, which are recognized as permissible unpaid roles.

In limited cases, advisors may engage in light-touch involvement, such as reviewing materials or providing refinements, where this is naturally necessary to deliver appropriate and well-founded advice. These activities strictly complement their advisory duty, remain consultative in nature, and do not replace or assume the responsibilities of employees.

There is no expectation of remuneration or future employment, and the advisory nature of the role is fully disclosed.
