PART B. Responsibilities
As an Electronics/Electrical Engineering Company Advisor:
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the company’s engineering team on electronics and electrical engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Product Development Support: Assist in the development and refinement of electronic hardware and electrical systems for the company’s products, including design, prototyping, testing, and optimization.
- Component Selection and Sourcing: Offer recommendations on selecting appropriate electronic components, such as microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and circuit components, considering factors such as performance, cost, and availability.
- Circuit Design and Analysis: Collaborate with engineers to design and analyze electronic circuits, including schematic design, PCB layout, signal integrity analysis, and thermal management, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Embedded Systems Development: Provide guidance on developing embedded systems software and firmware for microcontroller-based applications, including coding, debugging, and testing, to meet product requirements and specifications.
- Electrical System Integration: Assist in integrating electronic hardware and electrical systems into larger product assemblies, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and reliability in the final product.
- Testing and Validation: Support testing and validation activities for electronic hardware and electrical systems, including functional testing, performance testing, and reliability testing, to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Offer expertise in troubleshooting and debugging electronic hardware and electrical systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to resolve technical challenges.
- Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Advise on compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to electronic hardware and electrical systems, ensuring products meet safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.
- Technology Evaluation and Assessment: Evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies in electronics and electrical engineering, providing recommendations on adoption and implementation to enhance product innovation and competitiveness.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and engineering drawings, to capture design decisions, processes, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronics and electrical engineering, including emerging technologies, trends, and research findings, and share knowledge and insights with the engineering team to foster continuous learning and improvement.
The compensation for this role would be pro-bono (unpaid).
