Right now we are trying to fight off the consequences of pollution, pushing back against climate change with carbon taxes and working to overhaul the automotive industry, so it’s a pretty big blow to our efforts if one of the biggest car manufacturers colludes with the parent company of another car manufacturer to, instead of even keeping the status quo, makes things worse. Working for a net loss. It’s also interesting to consider, that it was Daimler that reported what was going on, which interestingly enough helped them avoid a pretty hefty fine.
