While I think we are still ways away from anything that resembles Cyberpunk 2077‘s Delemain, autonomous vehicles have been making leaps and bounds, especially with the greater emphasis on minimizing human contact what with the pandemic and all. Automating deliveries and ride-shares is something that people are testing out on a small scale with relative success, so I’m looking forward to being driven around by a robot. I’m glad at least that our AI tech hasn’t reached the point where I would have to worry about my autonomous ride-share having an existential crisis
