Supply disruptions, the possibility of an energy crisis within a few years, and the transition from ICE to EVs might be less than smooth if we don’t cough up the funding and infrastructure. You would think that we already have enough with this myriad of problems, but it seems we have one more to consider: the right to repair

Right now manufacturers are lobbying against it, meaning that for some vehicles, mechanics will no longer be able to fix them as they won’t have access to the necessary tools to do so. Right now people are fighting for the right to repair when it comes to Apple devices and seeing how mechanics are have so far been able to repair our vehicles without issue, completely removing that ability won’t sit well with people at all, never mind the mom and pop mechanic shops that have already predicted to take hits when EVs become more predominant.
