We’ve talked a lot about how current technology is intertwining more and more with the automotive industry and the risks that come with this form of digitization. After all, automotive security is our primary focus. But we haven’t really talked too much about the positives that this brings us. Yes, this new digitization that helps monitor everything could make repair costs go up since now every part of the vehicle carries electronic sensors and components, but that sort of real-time monitoring can help with remote diagnostics and repairs, predicting when you should schedule your next maintenance appointment and greater mobility efficiency. While all of these features come with a risk that we are navigating and doing our best to protect consumers from, this sort of data accessibility and sharing will do much to shape how consumers use their vehicles, and could very well reshape the automotive industry.
